Hey, it’s James Johnson Jr. and I’m the owner of Alliance BJJ Washington. I started my martial arts journey as a young kid. I was trained in Tang Soo Do by my father James Johnson Sr. As a teenager I earned my Black belt under the Universal Martial Arts Federation. I had a very traditional martial arts beginning that gave me the foundation I needed to be more disciplined and respectful.

I’m very deep into my Jiu-Jitsu journey, but I still focus on continuous growth. As a natural competitor in high-level wrestling and martial arts, I can confidently say this is in my DNA. As the owner of Alliance BJJ Washington, I push myself to make sure you get the best instruction you can get.
